Assiddiq Islamic Foundation ("Assiddiq", "we", "us") is a non-profit mosque and community centre at 5525 Gateway Blvd NW, Edmonton, Alberta T6H 2H3. This policy explains what information we collect through assiddiq.ca and through the tools our media team uses to publish our videos, what we do with it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
- Contact form. Your name, email address, phone number (optional), the subject you pick and your message. The form sends these to our email inbox (admin@assiddiq.ca) through our email delivery provider, Resend. We use them only to answer you.
- Donations. Online donations are handled by our payment providers, Stripe and Clover. Your card details go straight to them and never reach us. We receive your name, email address and the amount, which we use to keep our records and send receipts.
Information collected automatically
We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies on this website. Our hosting provider, Netlify, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. Prayer times are loaded from Mawaqit and involve no personal information.
Our videos and YouTube API Services
We publish recordings of our khutbahs and classes on our own YouTube channel, Assiddiq Islamic Foundation. Our media team uses an internal tool built on YouTube API Services to upload those videos to our channel, attach captions and thumbnails, schedule when they go public, add them to our playlists, and list our own uploads so we can see what is scheduled.
- The tool is used only by our media team and only accesses our own channel. It does not access, collect, store or share any information about viewers or any other YouTube user.
- The only YouTube data it keeps is about our own videos (their IDs, titles, publish times and privacy status), stored on our team's own computers to plan our schedule. We refresh or delete this data at least every 30 days.
- When you watch our videos on YouTube or in a YouTube player on this site, you are using YouTube, and the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy apply.
- Anyone who has given an app access to their Google account can review and remove that access at any time on the Google security settings page.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with the service providers named above, and only so they can do their part (delivering an email, processing a donation, hosting the site), or when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Contact messages stay in our inbox for as long as they are useful for following up. Donation records are kept as long as Canadian tax and charity rules require.
Children
Our programs serve families, but this website is not meant to collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you have sent us by emailing admin@assiddiq.ca.
